As an Assistant Professor, I need to look professional every day; however, like many folks in academia, I classify as neurodivergent. One challenge I face daily is the dreaded "what do I wear?". If I could, I would wear sweatpants, a sports bra, and a soft t-shirt every day. Instead, I suck it up and buy whatever I can tolerate in local stores or online from a select few brands that I know my size in. That leads to belly fat-pinching pants, underwear that ride up, socks that fall down, tags that itch, you get the picture. Some companies out there make clothing just for people like us, but to have a wardrobe for all occasions, bodies, and senses of style we still need to shop around. I'm a scientist so I like to weigh all the evidence before I spend my hard-earned money. I find myself scouring reviews for comments about comfort, fit, material feel, durability, etc. before I make a purchase. I also like to go into a store knowing exactly what I want to try on and where to find it, otherwise I end up overwhelmed and leave with nothing.

In my quest to find comfortable, stylish workwear and the BEST loungewear, I have found some gems. As a sister and mother, I have also worked to find my neurodivergent brother and daughter comfortable clothes that are appropriate for work and school. I am here to try and make your quest easier by reviewing and recommending clothes and accessories for people who struggle with sensory challenges. Blog posts of reviews and recommendations will be organized base on age group, clothing type(s), and gender(s). I hope you will join me in my quest to find the best clothes out there for neurodivergent folks like us.
